To develop scientific and technological research in order to generate reliable and opportune information that can provide solutions to specific needs related to waste management, toxic substances and the remediation of contaminated soils. With the goal of providing support to decision-makers from all three levels of government, through participation committed to preventing environmental deterioration and improving the population’s quality of life. To carry out applied research and oversee studies on toxic substances, integrated waste management and the remediation of contaminated sites, as well as evaluating technological innovations and strengthening the technical capacities of different dependencies and entities. This involves participating in the formulation and implementation of policies, programs, norms and rules. To be a research group that is nationally and internationally respected and renowned for its experience and capacity in the areas of good waste and toxic substance management, and the remediation of contaminated soils. That generates scientific information and provides technical training in the above areas, and whose data, information and proposals act as a source of technological development and viable solutions for the country’s environmental problems. |
