This involves participating in the formulation and implementation of policies, programs, norms and rules.

To be a research group that is nationally and internationally respected and renowned for its experience and capacity in the areas of good waste and toxic substance management, and the remediation of contaminated soils. That generates scientific information and provides technical training in the above areas, and whose data, information and proposals act as a source of technological development and viable solutions for the country’s environmental problems.
